1. 半学年：我的理解是是:在原学校,必须已完成至少2个学期(term)或 1年 的学习;若在原学校,不足 3 半学年(semester)即可毕业的(获得学位),不可申请. (以英文为准. 汉语释义不一定准确,请各位前辈指点一下理解的错误. )

2. 学制: 学期制：美国研究所有两种学制,学期制(semester)以及学季制(quarter),学期制有有寒假 winter break, 大约是12月中到1月中,学季制就不一定了,视学校而定,以IIT去年商学院而言,他们的winter break 就是在11月到12月.
