1. Ceratovacuna lanigera which be fond of eating sorghum had the capacity of transmitting SCYLV to sorghum efficiently, the symptoms appearing after SCYLV infected the sweet sorghum were observed systematically in this study, the results showed: the diseased plants grew slowly, dwarfing and heading prematurely after inoculated by aphids for 8 weeks the color of the periphery of diseased plants leaves were deeper, the tillers increased and obvious dwarfing.
甘蔗绵蚜喜食高粱并高效地将SCYLV传到高粱上，本研究对SCYLV侵染甜高粱后所致的症状进行了系统的观察，结果显示：在蚜虫接种八周后，病株生长缓慢，明显矮化，而且出现早抽穗的现象；在蚜虫接种十五周后，病株外围叶片变得比正常叶片的颜色深，分蘖增多，植株矮化显著，分蘖枝均出现抽穗，但不结实。
