2. 虽然，其实我们都是弱者，都往往无奈，甚至不能为或许陷于困厄的对方送去一箪食，一瓢饮，唯有彼此关注，这或许并不能帮到什么，但是至少，这证明我们没有被抛弃。
Even though we all are actually weak and often helpless, not even able to offer a piece of bread or a cup of water to those in dire straights, we have our concern for each other. This perhaps cannot help anything, but at the very least proves none of us has been abandoned.
3. 得与失，原没有一定的标准，颜回的居陋巷，一箪食、一瓢饮，人不堪其忧，他却能不改其乐；佛门中的苦行者，不食人间烟火，以禅悦为食，得到的是无上的法乐。
There is no fix criterion of gain and loss. For example, YanHui lived simply on a bamboo dish of rice and a gourd of drink, which was a deep worry to other people, but to him was an addicted pleasure.
4. 孔子称赞他说：一箪食，一瓢饮，在陋巷，人不堪其忧，回也不改其乐，。。。
Confucius praised him, said: A basket for cooked rice food, poured drinks, in the alley, people stand it and worry, did not allow his music, ...
